Roundup® has long been marketed as a safe and effective weed killer, but mounting evidence and legal action have revealed a disturbing truth: prolonged exposure to Roundup's active ingredient, glyphosate, has been linked to serious forms of cancer, including non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, leukemia, and multiple myeloma.

• $289 million awarded (later reduced to $78 million) to Dewayne Johnson, a school groundskeeper who developed non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

• $80 million awarded to Edwin Hardeman, after a jury determined that Roundup was the cause of his cancer—even under a restricted two-phase trial format.
